On June 21–22, 2025, Copenhagen’s Sydhavn (South Harbour) will once again host its annual cultural highlight—the 8th Copenhagen International Dragon Boat Festival. This year’s event is not only a thrilling sporting competition but also a vibrant platform for cultural exchange between China and Denmark, celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and further strengthening friendship and cooperation between their peoples.

Since its debut, the festival has been held uninterrupted for eight consecutive years, making it the only continuously held dragon boat cultural event in the EU. This year, the festival is expected to draw over 50,000 attendees on-site, with more than 2 million reached online and offline, creating a citywide buzz.
